Welcome to May! Weather is warming up and summer is on the horizon, but I am absolutely okay with soaking up every minute of spring. My prayer for you in this moment is that you are in a positive season of change! This first half of the year has been an abundant uphill rollercoaster for me- Getting engaged to John and accepting a dream interim position at work. Thank you Jesus! As my current position is nearing its end, I am patiently waiting for God’s direction for my next step. I see Him moving and stirring up opportunities I never would have imagined would be happening so quickly, and honestly I am fearful when I shouldn’t be.
This weekend’s service at Saddleback Church was about living by God’s promises which means to have FAITH that He will keep His word. Faith is the key to life. God has taught us that we need to think BIG and to be okay with disappointment because He works within us. If something in life comes naturally, it’s far too easy for us to feel pride in our success. If something comes unnaturally, we are often driven away by fear. God the Father is in control and we should be HUMBLY CONFIDENT in His strength to move mountains. God gets the credit, glory, and honor.
Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God. – 2 Corinthians 3:5
My personal mountain is my next career move at work. I have been fearful to tell God what I actually want because deep down, I am afraid of failure. James 4:2 states that “You do not have what you want because you do not ask God for it.” I don’t want to miss out on God’s opportunities because I am scared! I needed the reminder that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13). Humble confidence is the answer, not to be confident our own works and acts of strength, but in God’s.
This Topshop outfit makes me think pink! Sleeve detail and ruffles HAVE to be the biggest trends for spring! The more the merrier. I am a big fan of print mixing and Topshop makes it easy to do. Weekend style should be easy and comfortable and these light layers make getting dressed just that! I am accessorized with head-to-toe with BP brand accessories from the mirrored sunnies, block mules, to the white bandana.
