As sad as I am to see summer go, I am ready to fully embrace the fall season. My autumn home decor is already on display and I am planning all my seasonal activities. Apple picking and baking pies are top of the agenda.
Because fashion is always a season ahead in retail stores, my brain has been wrapped around fall trends since July. The mock-neck is coming back strong this year and I am all about it. Want to know a secret? This particular stripe mock neck dress is from the Kids’ department at Nordstrom. Believe it or not, I fit into a children’s XL and I am not even ashamed because it retails for $22! I’m a petite girl and what I have learned over the years is that the size of the clothes isn’t what matters. It’s the fit and how confident you feel while wearing it. This dress is going to be my go-to dress for this season. From the color combo, texture, and print, it makes getting ready in the morning simple. One piece and I’m out the door!

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
I haven’t had a first day of school since 2012 and I miss the pre-first class excitement! However, I am in a Community Bible Study that follows the school year schedule, so my first study was last Thursday. We received our reading material, met our core leader and classmates, and were assigned this week’s homework assignment. I am stupidly giddy about reading the Book of Matthew and learning more about Jesus’s life this year! Matthew 1:21 is our first memory verse, and I am determined to memorize it! Wish me luck!
Have a blessed week!
