Mother’s Day- Ephesians 6:1-3

For Mother’s Day, my mom planned a day trip to Temecula, California with me and my sister. Although this wine country is less than two hours away, I had never been! The three wineries that we ventured to were South Coast Winery, Ponte Winery, and Wilson Creek Winery. Wilson Creek was our last winery stop where we enjoyed sparkling almond wine and sparkling peach wine! For a late lunch, we explored Old Town Temecula and dined at Crush & Brew. They have gorgonzola french fries that take cheesy fries to a whole new level!

As little girls, my sister and I would always wear matching outfits on Mother’s Day. This year, we had seriously contemplated matching in the same Old Navy printed dresses, but we chickened out. Instead I wore this linen, coral and white striped dress from Old Navy. I love a great shift dress for warm weather. Nothing will stick to your body in the heat! This sun hat from Nordstrom was perfect to shade my face from the sun when it peeked out from behind the clouds!

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother- which is the first commandment with a promise, so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.
Ephesians 6: 1-3
Mother’s Day honors all the moms out there who brought children into this world. The Lord created this commandment of respecting our parents as a practice for respecting God as our Father. Fighting with your mother is never fun, and they always seem to win! In good faith, we are to always show our love and respect for our mothers through our words and our actions!
Have a blessed week!
