2016 has been the year of adulting. Definition- doing things only adult would ever dare to do. Example: Signing up for health insurance. However, sometimes being an adult is more fun than being a kid. This year, I hosted Easter at my apartment with my family and John’s family. I cooked, I cleaned, and I got to control when we started the Easter Egg hunt! Also, nobody could tell me I couldn’t make a mess with a dozen confetti eggs. For dinner, we had a potluck and my favorite dish I made was balsamic brussels sprouts. Check out the recipe here!
Finding an Easter dress was slightly challenging this year. During my search, I realized that the on trend colors for the season are slightly darker colors than usual, not the typical pastels I was hoping for. Nordstrom came to my rescue as usual. This Lush swing dress is a mere $46 and so versatile. I see myself wearing it for work with my white vest and ladylike heels or dressed down with a denim jacket and flat sandals. I have stopped purchasing dresses that are a one hit wonder! I am trying to shop smarter.

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.
The more I hear the Easter story, the more I realize how Easter should be a bigger celebration than Christmas! We celebrate Jesus’ birth with more extravagance than His death and resurrection. However, everyone on this earth is born to die, but only Jesus was born to die and live again. He is risen and that will never be forgotten! I couldn’t think of a better reason to celebrate!
Have a blessed week!
