I can only imagine how difficult it is to find the perfect dress as a bride when I go into panic mode finding a dress to be a guest in a wedding! Luckily for me, this Hawaiian themed wedding took place during a season of tropical prints being on point for the current fashion trends. I am so obsessed with all things related to palm trees, flamingos, and pineapples. I want more! I want more! June is a beautiful month to celebrate holy matrimony with the exception of a post-wedding sun burn. Not so cute. It was a late afternoon ceremony and I opted out of SPF… Not the brightest of decisions I have made recently.
The CeCe ‘crepe de chine’ popover dress by Cynthia Steffe found at Nordstrom is totally sold out in the palm leaf print. My guess is that other gals have the same tropical obsession that I do! This turquoise and green number called for a pop of contrast in the shoe. To keep the color palette minimal, I chose white sandals (Forever 21) that also had a block heel since I knew I would be on grass during the reception. As for accessories, I wore my palm tree stud earrings that I have owned for over 10 years and my turquoise aviator sunglasses (BP) saved me from being blinded while witnessing ‘I Do’s’. My croc skin clutch (JJ Winters) was just the right size to carry my lipstick, cash, and phone! I feel so blessed to be apart of the happy couple’s special day!
Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
Marriage is so sacred. One of my favorite moments of this wedding was that the pastor prayed over everyone, asking each individual to continue to pray for strength in this marriage and to be an encourager when times are tough. As friends of a married couple, it is our responsibility to help avoid separation and step in where we can to help them grow! God has joined each husband and wife together for a reason and we should cherish this!
Have a blessed week!
