The Perfect Easter Dress

Easter bunnies. Easter eggs. Easter baskets. Easter dresses. If you add ‘Easter’ to the beginning of basically any word, it instantly becomes more fabulous. This Easter my boyfriend John, and I spent the morning at church, Saddleback Church Newport Mesa to be exact. The palm trees, fountains, and Easter bunny with the giant bow set the mood for the day Jesus Is Risen. Then we both migrated down to South County for brunch at my parents house where we devoured quiche, monkey bread, and fruit-salad until we hit a new level of food coma. Following a nap and a walk with my dog, my family joined John and his family for Easter BBQ for super. It was an amazing day of focusing on Jesus and family bonding.
Admittedly, I spent maybe a little too much time picking out my outfit for a holiday that is supposed to be centered on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, I have to take a moment to talk about my J.O.A fit and flare dress from the Savvy department at Nordstrom. My Easter dress criteria include florals, bright colors, and a flirty hemline. This dress checked each box! For a dress with this much color, I chose a nude heel, also BP from Nordstrom, especially because I had a bright handbag (Rebecca Minkoff). The heel height is perfect for long wear comfortability. Because of the blue and purple hues in the dress, I chose silver jewelry which was my cross necklace and bangles. Last year, I wore a daisy romper with yellow platform wedges featured on my Preparing for a FashionEASTA. With Easter behind us, I am ready to explore more spring trends.

This is what God wants you to do: Believe in the one he has sent!
John 6:29
Jesus was sent to this Earth to be an example of what it looks like to live a life God has intended for us. It was all in God’s plan for Jesus to die a brutal death after the beautiful life of ministry he lived. His resurrection was the symbol of our salvation. Without his death and the empty tomb, Heaven and eternity with God would not be an option. God wants us to believe in Jesus, the one he has sent, so that we can spend the rest of time in His presence. He is daring us to believe. Have a DARING week!
