After many years of being a Disneyland Pass-holder, my time has come to an end. It is extremely sad to say good-bye to my year-round ticket to the happiest place on earth. However, being an adult and making financially smart decisions is eating away at the child within me. I decided that paying rent, feeding my stomach, and buying new clothes became my priority, after tithing of course. The most depressing part about this whole experience was that I only had the opportunity to wear my Minnie Mouse baseball cap this once! I find dressing for Disneyland a major struggle as I want to be comfortable, but darling enough to take one hundred and one… photos (you thought I was going to say dalmatians didn’t you?) As sneakers are all the rage this season, I wanted to rock my new Nike’s and baseball cap with a feminine touch, so I completed the look with my jersey pencil skirt and Topshop tank.
The temple I am going to build will be great, because our God is greater than all other gods.
2 Chronicles 2:5
On my last day at Disneyland, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle was under construction. WHAT IS THAT? Not okay. While the artistic tarp that blocked my view of the castle was quite the clever cover up, I missed the majesty of the real deal. In my women’s bible study, we are currently diving into the rebuilding of the temple. The castle being remodeled reminded me of how the temple was destroyed and rebuilt. While the new temple was not as physically glorious, God’s presence was just at strong, if not stronger. I know that when I go back to visit Disneyland in the future, not only with the exterior be more beautiful, but the magic of the castle will be more powerful than ever before.
Have a magical week!
