Autumn in Apple Country

Visiting Oak Glen is my family’s oldest tradition, going 23 years strong! Every fall, the Kelley’s clear their schedule and head to the apple orchards for a beautiful day in the countryside. Unfortunately, November is not prime ‘pickin’ season, but we never run out of things to do here. From visiting antique stores and cider mills, eating at old-fashion diners, and devouring scrumptious pie, I couldn’t be filled with more joy. The crisp breeze called for my ‘Funnel Neck Cocoon Sweater’ by Topshop, hair in a topknot, statement earrings, and a berry lip color by Nars.

Keep my commandments and live, And my teaching as the apple of your eye.
Proverbs 7:2
Living by God’s word is not about all about following a set of rules, but His commandments are not to be taken lightly. They are guidelines to keep peace internally and externally here on Earth until we join Him in Heaven. This Proverbs verse says that we should keep the commandments as the ‘apple of your eye,’ meaning we cherish them above all other rules and law. God’s word is precious and I am so thankful to have a sort of order in my life.
Have a blessed week!
