Pink sprinkle donuts and pink ribbons go hand in hand, right? October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I wanted to share a super amazing and simple way to give back through a fashionable point of view. Nordstrom is hosting an event on October 24th and 25th called We Heart a Great Fit, in honor of the Young Survivor Coalition. For every bra that is purchased from participating vendors, there will be a $2 donation to the YSC. For simply purchasing the bras, Nordstrom and the Vendors will be donating on your behalf. At our Irvine Spectrum location, meet us in the Lingerie department on Level 2 from 10am to 9:30pm, Friday and Saturday and receive and exclusive gift with purchase! It’s an adorable PJ Salvage tote bag, the same maker of my donut pajamas and coffee mug.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Giving back through shopping is makes my heart ever so joyful! I want to be a cheerful giver in God’s eyes, and that means participating where my heart is feeling called to donate. The YSC has tugged on my heart strings and I couldn’t imagine battling breast cancer at this stage in my life! Whether you give through your church or to a local nonprofit, giving back is an amazing feeling, knowing you are making Earth a little more like Heaven!
