I am not sure if I may have fooled you, but I really have never eaten glitter for breakfast. Now, if glitter was a food group just like rainbow sprinkles, I would be devouring the shininess on the daily. I do however, eat cake for breakfast all the time. For instance, as I roamed around the Orange Circle last week, I had a cookies and cream cupcake before lunch. Please hold your judgement, for it was scrumptious. To be fair, walking around Old Town Orange window shopping and drooling over future restaurant possibilities can be quite the workout. Good think I was wearing my floral silk joggers, graphic tee, and Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses for all that physical activity!
“Now come and have some breakfast!” Jesus said. None of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.
If Jesus ate breakfast, then so should we! The context of this verse however, is not about the importance of the first meal of the day, but that Jesus will constantly provide for us. As the disciples were struggling to fish, Jesus told them to cast their net on the other side of their boat and voila, they caught more fish than they could handle. They did not question that Jesus was their Lord, and neither should we!
Have a glittering week!
