Ladies and gentlemen, I know what you are thinking. “Krispy Kreme? Really, Sarah. I expected more from a donut connoisseur.” However, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the selection, price, and taste of these simply glazed bites of heaven. Not to mention, the environment was so delightfully atmospheric! I had not ordered Krispy Kreme in years…YEARS, and if I am having a late night donut craving, you may find me at the drive through of this particular chain. My ‘Donut Talk to Me’ tee and black J-Brand skinny jeans should be the uniform for my daily life.
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

My whole life, I have totally failed at making quiet time with God a habit. I can go days, weeks, and even months where I read, pray, or journal in solitude consistently. Then there were times where I can go days, weeks, and even months when I neglected the importance of sitting in the presence of the Holy Spirit. There is a reason that Jesus left the house and found a quiet place to pray. It was so he didn’t have to tell people, “Donut talk to me. I’m praying.” Well maybe it wasn’t quite in those words, but you catch my drift. Distractions are all around us, and sitting alone with God can be extremely challenging, but I promise it makes each day more peaceful and more rewarding when you are growing in your relationship with Christ. As each new day approaches, the more I feel a need to have quiet time with the Lord.
Have a quiet time filled week!
