While all holidays are a time of joyous celebration, Easter should be the most honored day of the year! With Easter less than one month away, I wanted to share how I am preparing for such an amazing remembrance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Not only am I enjoying Saddleback Church’s series leading up to Easter weekend called Jesus in the Headlines, but I spent the most lovely of afternoons on the first day of spring at the loveliest of campuses, Saddleback Rancho Capistrano. With the wind blowing through the trees and the sun beaming through the wildflowers, it was only fitting to shoot my Easter post in my daisy-print romper, straw floppy hat, and yellow wedges.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by His great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation!
1 Peter 1:3
Believe it or not, up until last year, I had never been to church on Easter. Even as an avid church goer, I had neglected the importance of praising our God on Easter Sunday for the most UH-Mazing event in history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Dying on the cross, forgiveness of our sins, and the gift of eternal life allows us the great expectation and hope that every child of God receives, although it’s a gift we don’t deserve. As my spiritual relationship continues to grow, I am more ecstatic than ever to worship Jesus on Easter. I owe a big merci beaucoup to my savior!
